Lodge Cresson (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you interact with this website, how we use it, and what rights you have.
Who We Are
This website is operated by J&A French Properties Ltd, 27 Avenue du Savoy, 74400 Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, you can contact us at lodgecresson@gmail.com.
What Information We Collect
We do not currently use contact forms, online booking forms, or analytics tools on this website. The only personal information we collect is what you choose to send us directly by email — for example, when you enquire about availability or send us a booking request. This typically includes your name, email address, and any details you include in your message (such as dates, number of guests, or special requests).
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you send us to respond to your enquiry, discuss and arrange your stay at Lodge Cresson, and keep a record of the arrangement. We do not use your information for marketing, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties.
Cookies
This site uses one functional cookie (pll_language), set by our translation plugin to remember your preferred language (English or French). This cookie does not track you, does not collect personal data, and is not used for advertising or analytics. We do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other tracking or marketing cookies.
Booking Through Our Partners
If you choose to book your stay through Booking.com, Airbnb, OVO Network, or VRBO rather than contacting us directly, any personal information you provide during that booking process is collected and processed by that platform as an independent data controller, under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review the relevant platform’s privacy policy before booking through them.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We retain enquiry and booking correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to arrange your stay, respond to any follow-up questions, and meet our legal and accounting obligations — typically no longer than 24 months from your last contact with us, unless we are required to keep it for longer by law (for example, for tax purposes).
Data Sharing
We do not share your personal information with third parties, except where necessary to arrange your stay (for example, providing your name to local services you have asked us to book on your behalf) or where required by law.
Your Rights
Under UK and EU data protection law, you have the right to ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at lodgecresson@gmail.com.
Complaints
If you have concerns about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in France, the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL, www.cnil.fr), or in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO, www.ico.org.uk).
Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example as we introduce new features such as online payment processing. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “last updated” date.
